Sweet Garlic Chicken

I love this recipe. I can make up the sauce a day or two before and then just toss everything in the crock pot. We also like to try out different soda flavours. Pineapple Fanta was a big hit!

Ingredients:

• 4-6 chicken breasts
• 1 cup brown sugar,
• 2/3 cup vinegar,
• 1/4 cup sprite,
• 2-3 tablespoon minced garlic,
• 2 tablespoon soy sauce,
• 1 teaspoon pepper,
• Crushed red pepper. (Optional)
• 2 tablespoon corn starch
• 2 tablespoon water

Directions:

• Put 4-6 chicken breasts in crock pot
• In seperate bowl, mix brown sugar, vinegar, sprite, minced garlic, soy sauce, pepper, and some crushed red pepper. (Optional)
• Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
• When done, take chicken out of crockpot and add remaining liquid to a sauce pan over high heat. Mix 2 tbsp corn starch and 2 tbsp water together and slowly add to liquid. Keep boiling for 2-3 minutes or until sauce starts to thicken.
• Serve over rice or whatever else you like and poor that gooey sauce right on top! Voila.
